What does each matric item cost?
The jacket is R750 and the whole kit is R2 000. Everything else is priced item by item on the same list, so a class can buy the full package or just the pieces it wants.

Baseball or bomber: what does the class actually pick?
On our price list, a baseball jacket and a bomber are the same R750 line. The name is a style label; the price moves with the specification, not the word on the quote.
In practice the argument in the group chat is about sleeves and colour: contrast sleeves, a solid body, the badge position. Fix the design first, then ask for the price. Two suppliers quoting “a jacket” may be quoting two different garments.
A cheaper alternative exists and it is fair to say so. A plain hoodie or jersey with a printed class year costs a fraction of a jacket and suits a class on a tight budget. A jacket is the keepsake; it is not the only way to mark the year.
Are individual learner names sublimated or embroidered?
Either can be done, and the choice changes the look more than the price. Sublimation prints the design into the fabric; embroidery stitches it in thread. We do both in-house.
- Sublimation puts the artwork into the fabric edge to edge, so it does not peel or crack, and each learner’s name can differ.
- Embroidery gives a raised, traditional finish that suits a school badge, but each name is a separate stitching run.
- Our list shows no separate per-name charge. Confirm on the written quote how names are applied and that the price includes them.
How should a matric committee collect the money?
Through one named treasurer, against a written quote, with a receipt for every payment. A committee that pays from a personal account is carrying a risk it never agreed to.

When should you order matric jackets?
As early in the matric year as the class can agree a design. Early gives you time for design rounds, a signed-off sample and sizing, before every school in Gauteng is in the same queue.
We publish no guaranteed turnaround, because it moves with our workload. Ask any supplier for the production date on the quote, not in a phone call. If the jackets are for a farewell or a photo day, work backwards from that date and add a buffer.
